Traditional DLP Point Products introduce unacceptable latency for Web traffic
Several companies have begun offering point solutions to prevent data leakage. These products often require extensive implementation and consulting services. They are also just another point solution to be added to an already-crowded network gateway. Not surprisingly, less than 10% of enterprises have deployed data leakage prevention (DLP) solutions today.

Moreover, a DLP technology requires scanning and inspection of the entire content. This can introduce latency ranging from hundreds of milliseconds to several seconds. While this may be acceptable for email (store-and-forward protocol), it does not work for web traffic, which is an interactive protocol. If you take the latency of web interaction from half a second to two seconds, end users will rightfully complain. Our solution has purpose-built its data loss prevention solution that introduces ultra-low latency (tens of microseconds).

Enforces Compliance Policy
Provides full inspection of all HTTP/HTTPS traffic leaving the organization. Specifically, our technology inspects two types of violations:

  • Regulatory compliance by state or federal governments or other standards bodies often pertains to personal or private consumer information. Examples include regulations such as HIPAA, GLBA, PCI, or SOX.
  • Company sensitive information may include sales data, pricing information, or intellectual property such as source code.

Granular Policy and Multiple Detection Technologies
Our policy definition is intuitive but powerful, offering granular control over specific users, locations, and applications (Webmail, social networks, etc). In addition to the predefined lexicons and categories, enterprises can define custom dictionaries. Policy violation is detected by proprietary technologies:

  • Sophisticated algorithms detect the leakage of credit card and Social Security numbers without false positives.
  • Pattern matching engines evaluate data based on the weighted scores of various phrases.
